EYEBAB Rehab - EYEBAB

Easy to use - hard to ignore

Rehabilitation and motivation go hand in hand. With the EYEBAB Softboard, you get an extra card on hand in your daily work, which ensures that you have a toolbox that never runs out of tasks.

Not only that, you also get a tool that can be adapted to, and used by, everyone – a kind of one-size-fits-all, but which actually fits everyone.

Rehabilitation no longer has to be a necessary evil for your patients, but rather a joyful activity that yields measurable results.

The EYEBAB Softboard is a user-friendly, large format tool that has a soft work surface reminiscent of a foam pad, as well as the ability to adjust the active screen area to target the patient’s focus area.

Adding motivation to your progress

The digital handshake

The EYEBAB Softboard is intended for three main elements: diagnosis, rehabilitation, and compensatory training. The training platform has been developed on the basis of science.
You are presented with a game-like, app-based universe, where you can train with great confidence, knowing that the professionalism is in place.

The Softboard is a self-propelled tool in your toolbox. With a few taps on the screen, you can set up the training exercise so that it is ready, while you can act as mental and physical support for your patient.

More hands, more time

As a facilitator, you can also become more involved in the actual training with the patient, and in this way take an even more active part in the patient’s rehabilitation process. You can choose to complete a training app as a team, or a duel.

The competition parameter is a motivating factor in itself, and the measurable results that are displayed after a training session give the final push. The measurable results are motivating for many people, as they can create a direct connection between the way you feel and the tangible results you achieve.

Giant screen on the wall

The EYEBAB Softboard is an eye-catching element in the clinical landscape, and therefore attracts attention with minimal effort. The enormous format has, in a rehabilitation context, a strong influence on the motivation of the users, as it is an interesting and engaging supplement to the traditional rehabilitation exercises.

A tailor-made training program must be supported by flexible work tools. On the Softboard, each training app can be adjusted in level, degree of difficulty, and size, whereby you can actively work with the patient’s focus areas.

Examples of use, of the EYEBAB Softboard:

  • Training of reduced ability
  • Function level optimization
  • After hospitalization (operation, illness, accident)

Touch and play

Due to its size and availability, the Softboard is extremely attractive. All you have to do to get started is tap the soft, foam pad-like screen. When the board is turned on, all apps are displayed, and you simply select the desired one, to start a training.

Resolution and standby

On the EYEBAB Softboard, you work with interactive images rather than static buttons. The uniquely patented touch screen ensures a pleasant interaction. The image is projected so that there is a coincidence between visual and tactile input.
The software is cloud based and therefore always up to date. The board automatically goes into sleep mode when not in use.

Positioning and installation

The softboard requires a stable wall as well as access to power and internet (either with cable or wireless). Power and network can be applied in the middle of the board from the bottom, or down from the ceiling.

The softboard is in full HD 1920×1080 px resolution, with an interactive area of 180×105 cm (approx. 71×41.5 in). It has a built-in computer that handles multi touch input, on/off timer and power sleep mode, as well as a touch and play function.
The board’s cabinet consists primarily of metal and is very sturdy, which makes it extremely durable. The board communicates with the EYEBAB portal and can be controlled remotely from tablets, smartphones, etc.

In a rehabilitation context, the Softboard has the completely unique characteristic that the screen can be adjusted. This ensures, among other things, that wheelchair users can also use it. With a Softboard, you get as much of the body in motion as possible.

What do colleagues and users say?

Therapists

“I am more involved in the training, I don’t just stand and observe. The patient and I are now on a team together, it’s suddenly our result.”

“We can now challenge them on a higher cognitive level.”

“It is possible to graduate the training so that the patient has a successful experience and does not feel defeated.”

“I have my hands free during balance exercises where there usually needs to be two therapists for these exercises.”

“If the patient has difficulty getting started, we can put EYEBAB into the daily schedule to get the patient to do something active, the purpose is not always the training itself.”

“The board pushes the patient and challenges the patient, which takes the pressure off the therapist. It’s something else to get mad at a board.”

“I can figure out how to use EYEBAB, after being shown how to use it once.”

“I work more effectively as a therapist, by using EYEBAB.”

Users

“In a rehabilitation process, many people often forget that it’s not about pushing the person for the sake of pressure. On the contrary, it’s important to meet the person right where they are and give them a motivating push so they feel like working with themselves at an appropriate pace – EYEBAB has been good at understanding this premise.”

“With EYEBAB, I’m able to make progress in a realistic way while having fun, being motivated, and feeling challenged to the perfect limit. I’m pushed neither too hard nor too little. And most importantly , because of this approach, I have regained confidence in myself. “

“I do not understand why that board does not hang everywhere.”

“The fact that you yourself feel you are getting better and that you can see the score is better – the two things together are very motivating.”

“At first I thought it was just a computer game and that there had to be something else I could train, now that I have one arm not working and two legs not working together. But then I found out what it was, what it can be used for, and what the purpose is.”

“In the beginning I trained my attention to the left, which was very reduced, and there has been an improvement. My concentration is also much better, and if you do not concentrate while training on the board, you feel completely lost. This is reflected in your score immediately.”
